Annette took her first degree in Theology with English and rapidly discovered that there wasn't a career path for low level Theologians. She worked briefly in telephone sales before pursuing a second degree in Information Technology. This led to HR Systems work and building a portfolio of HR skills in recruiting, training, employee relations, and payroll. Payroll experience prompted a career shift to Financial Systems covering cost centre control, ledgers, and budgeting. From there came Project Management implementing new payroll and benefit systems. Since 2021, she has worked for local government and the charity sector, adding research and helpline skills to her portfolio.
